As  playgroup is often a child’s first experience in a school setting, the children are encouraged to adapt to their new learning situation and to integrate into the group. Playgroup children develop their language skills through a variety of activities. They are encouraged to share their experiences with their classmates and teachers and to express their ideas using simple and then more complex sentences. The children gradually develop their listening skills and expand their attention spans.

Through a wide range of physical and manual activities, the children develop their fine and gross motor skills. They are also introduced to computers and gradually learn to work with programs to reinforce areas such as recognizing geometrical shapes, colours, sizes, letters and numbers.

Playgroup students participate in a variety of activities throughout the school. They prepare special programs for Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day and take part in our celebration of Chilean independence and the Christmas Show.
