Applications for admission to The International Preparatory School are accepted throughout the year. Students should aim to enter in March for the start of the School year or in August for the second semester. We allow entrance at other times of the year from families coming from abroad, but all are subject to class vacancies.

The Admissions process is the following:

  • Step One

  • Step Two

    • Application forms should be completed and solicited documents should be sent by email to admissions@tipschile.com.
    • (Password or link to fill in our Online Application Form will be provided by the Admissions Department).
  • Step Three

    • Students will be evaluated by our team of Specialists.
  • Step Four

    • A report for the previous two school years. If these do not include detailed teacher’s comments, letters of recommendation from an English (or language) teacher and a Math teacher must be also provided.
  • Step Five

    • All applicants will be assessed in English and Mathematics by the admissions department.

  • A Birth Certificate.
  • A Report for the previous two school years.
  • A personality report from their previous school.
  • A learning specialists or psychologist report where necessary.
  • Vaccine report.
  • Medical report certifying general health status.
  • Handwritten letter explaining why you are choosing TIPS.
  • Picture of the applicant.
Age requirements:
Reception: Four years of age by February 28th
Year 1: Five years of age by February 28th
